(Fairfield) — The Fairfield Mules took home first at the Carmi/White County Boys Track Invitational on Wednesday. Carmi-White County, Flora, Hamilton County, and Mount Carmel rounded out the top 5.

(Cisne) — Cisne beat Wayne City 4-3 yesterday to improve to 7-6 on the season. They will be back in action today, weather permitting, for a road game at Altamont.

(Flushing, NY) — The St. Louis Cardinals will try to dig themselves out of the NL Central cellar when they begin a weekend series against the New York Mets at Citi Field. Miles Mikolas is slated to toe the rubber for St. Louis tonight. First pitch is at 6:10PM.

(Chicago, IL) — The Chicago Cubs swept the Houston Astros with a 3-1 win at Wrigley Field. The Northsiders have won four of five to improve to 16-and-9. They send Shota Imanaga to the mound against the Red Sox tonight.

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Chicago White Sox are on a seven-game losing streak after losing to the Minnesota Twins 6-3 at Target Field. The 3-and-22 Southsiders send Chris Flexen to the mound against Tampa Bay tonight.

(Undated) — The road to the NBA Finals continued on Thursday. The Orlando Magic crushed the Cleveland Cavaliers 121-83 at the Kia Center. In other Eastern Conference action, the Philadelphia 76ers beat the New York Knicks 125-114 at the Wells Fargo Center. The Denver Nuggets defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 112-105 in Hollywood to take a commanding 3-0 series lead. The action continues today with three more contests. The Pacers host the Bucks, the Clippers visit the Mavericks, and the Suns welcome the Timberwolves to the desert.
