Thursday morning at approximately 10:20 AM, Fairfield Police arrested James H. Batterson, 56 of Louisiana. Batterson was stopped in the 200 block of NW 7th Street for investigative purposes. Officers were looking for a male subject knocking on resident’s doors offering yard services. Batterson matched the description given by witnesses.
Batterson was discovered to have a Louisiana Parole Warrant for Burglary. Batterson was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Jail. The Fairfield Police Department is currently conducting interviews and additional charges may be considered.
