The City of Mount Carmel recently passed an ordinance, banning the use of motorized bicycles and scooters from being used for transportation between the hours of midnight and 6 am. Also in that ordinance, the city will now require an inspection and permitting process, similar to inspections done on UTVs and Golf Carts. Officials with the Mount Carmel Police Department say that they are working on getting the permit paperwork ready.
