J. Wilmer Eshbach, 67, Kell

J. Wilmer Eshbach, 67, of Kell, IL passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the STL University Hospital due to complications during an open heart surgery.  Wilmer was born October 11, 1955 in Lancaster, PA to the late Benjamin and Anna Eshbach. He married Wilma (Seibel) on May 22, 1976 in Lancaster, PA, then moved to Bluford, IL. Since 1987,  he was a pastor of the Mennonite Church and faithful minister of the gospel. His occupation was farming for the rest of his life.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by; five sons, Joel (Marilyn)Eshbach, Mount Vernon, IL; Lyndell (Deborah) Eshbach, Wayne City,IL; Galen (Judith) Eshbach, Hillsdale, WY; Kendall (Ramona) Eshbach, Bluford, IL; Matthew (Angie) Eshbach,Bluford, IL; and 2 daughters; Jerlene (Joseph) Burkholder, Cambridge Springs, PA; and Mary June (Kendrick) Stauffer, Bluford, IL; 2 brothers, Marlin (Irene) Eshbach, Danville, PA; and Earl (Cheryl) Eshbach, Harrisonburg, VA. 3 sisters, Dorothy Jean (Billy) Baltozer, Mount Joy, PA; Mary Lois (William) Shueler, Crockett, KY; Joyce (Jay) Miller, Arcadia, FL; and 30 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by both parents Benjamin and Anna Eshbach, one infant granddaughter Serenity Faith, and one sister Ruth Ann Mann. Visitation hours will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 pm and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Orchardville Mennonite Church south of Orchardville, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24th, 2023 at the Walnut Hill Mennonite Church in Centralia, IL.  Interment will follow the funeral service at the Walnut Hill Mennonite Cemetery in Centralia.
