Edwards County Sheriff’s Officials have released information on a few recent arrests in the county.
On Sunday at 4:16 PM, law enforcement in Edwards County say that they observed Justin Harms riding a bicycle. The law enforcement official was aware that Harms had active arrest warrants. During the encounter, suspected methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe were located. He was arrested and transported to the White County Jail.
On Monday, a law enforcement officer was dispatched to a harassment complaint. Upon arrival, officials say that Sarah Mecum was in the roadway, screaming and threatening to kill the reporting party. She was arrested for disorderly conduct. During the investigation, officers learned of multiple other incidents where Mecum had walked by & watched the reporting party. Mecum was then charged with stalking. She was transported to the White County Jail.
At 5:30 PM on Tuesday, a law enforcement official went to a rural Edwards County residence and placed Stephen Compton under arrest on an active Edwards County arrest warrant. He was transported to the White County Jail, where he later posted bond.
Meanwhile during the month of July, Edwards County Sheriff’s Officials reported 10 arrests on various charges.
