102 year old Fairfield resident, Helen Frances O’Neal, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023 at Helia Healthcare in Olney, Illinois
Frances was born in Fairfield, IL on March 9, 1921 to Henry and Edna (Hodges) Borah.
She married Thomas O’Neal on September 25, 1938 in Kentucky. Thomas preceded her in death on April 8, 1986. Over the years, Frances had worked at The Record, at various restaurants and at Food Park. She was a member of the Ellen Moore United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, 2 sisters; Mildred Musgrave and Carrie Louise Borah and a son in law, Buddy Boucher.
Survivors include 2 sons; Thomas (Rinie) O’Neal of Newburgh, IN and Patrick (J.R.) O’Neal of Springfield, Illinois. 3 daughters; Marilyn (Jim) Gaudio of Montgomery, Illinois, Carolyn Boucher of Lockport, Illinois and Betty (Craig) Leaf of Olney, Illinois. 5 grandsons; Fred (Angie) O’Neal, Robert (Felicia) O’Neal, Stephen (Heidi) Huff, Jimmy (Jannette) Boucher and Randy (Cindy) Boucher. 4 granddaughters; Suzanne (Jim) Fox, Carrie (Domingo) Moreno, Lindsey (Grant) Kocher and Katie Leaf. 11 great grandsons, 10 great granddaughters, 1 step great grandson and 3 step great granddaughters.
Graveside services for Helen Frances O’Neal will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Maple Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Family and Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Ellen Moore United MethodistChurch and will be accepted at Nale’s or the church.
