Torrey Nichole (Lowery) Kirkmeyer, 30, of Bremerton, WA, along with her husband, Jeremy G. Kirkmeyer, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Tacoma, WA. Torrey had been a registered nurse.

Torrey was born on March 25, 1993, in Charleston, SC, to Troy and Michelle (Smith) Lowery. On November 18, 2016, she married the love of her life, Jeremy Kirkmeyer, who was an active member of the United States Navy.

No words can ever sum up Torrey’s life. Beloved daughter, granddaughter, mother, wife, sister, and pet mom. There wasn’t a day Torrey didn’t fill this world up with her smile.  Her gentle heart filled a room and beyond.  If we all could only have an ounce of her compassion this world would only be a little better for it. Torrey only wished the best for people and in her honor, we should always show love to our neighbors, friends, and family, if only for a moment, to honor her existence on the planet.  We will miss you and honor your life throughout the remainder of our lives. We carry you with us and you will never be forgotten. With love from your Mom, Dad, Brother, and Baby Hayden.

Survivors include her parents Troy and Michelle Lowery of Cordova, TN, her paternal grandmother Karen Lowery of Mt. Erie, her 8-month-old daughter Hayden Olivia Kirkmeyer of Bremerton, WA, a brother Killian Lowery of Cordova, TN, along with aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Glen Lowery, her maternal grandparents Hank and Doreen Burger, and her uncle Jeff Lowery.

Funeral services for Torrey Kirkmeyer will be at 1pm on Saturday, September 23rd at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, IL, with burial to follow in Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, IL. Visitation will be from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home. The family requests casual dress for the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Troy Lowery for legal expenses and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, 106 NE 4th St, Fairfield, IL 62837.
