Lawrence County Authorities as well as Wabash County, Crawford County, Knox County Indiana, and several other agencies are on the lookout throughout the area for a man who is wanted for a homicide out of South Carolina.
Last night, authorities according to reports, Lawrence County authorities started their search a quarter of a mile north of the Gas Light Motel on Illinois 1. Vincennes , IN Township Fire was requested to respond with their drone. Wabash County, Crawford County as well as Knox County has also sent help to search with K9 officers. Crawford County has also brought in a drone. Illinois State Police are assisting with an airplane.
Authorities are looking for Johnathan Torell Kelly. Kelly is wanted by Allendale, South Carolina Police on a charge of homicide, kidnapping, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Lawrence County Sheriff Trent Masterson says that he does not believe Kelly is a threat to the general public.
Johnathan Torell Kelly is described as a black male in his early 30s with short black hair, weighing 200 pounds.
