On Tuesday, the Edwards County FFA attended the Section 23 Leadership Training School. This event was orchestrated by the Section 23 FFA officers. Those representing Edwards County included: Aly Williams, Gabe Wyatt, Easton Keener, Parker Biggs, Emily Spray, Owen Lynch, as well as advisors Mr. Clodfelter and Mrs. Wiseman. After FFA Official Opening Ceremonies, a delicious meal was served in the Richland County High School gymnasium. The members then attended workshops to develop their leadership skills. Workshops included, Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork, Use Your Voice, Empowering Facilitative Leaders, Inspire to be a Leader, Spark New Words, and Prosperous Planning. The evening ended with a keynote address by Cooper Nelson, Illinois State FFA Reporter.
Also held the same evening was the Greenhand Quiz Bowl. First-year FFA members competed in a round-robin tournament with FFA trivia as the focus. The team of Cody Greathouse, Levi Gill, Eli Greathouse, Logan Staton, Quentin Pike, and Jayce Sweat placed 4th.
