Two Sentences Recently Handed Down in Edwards County

Edwards County States Attorney Eric St. Ledger has announced that a few sentences were recently handed down in Edwards County.

On September 29th, 25-year-old Dalton T. Dilley of West Salem was sentenced to 7 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Dilley was convicted of Criminal Sexual Assault. Following his release, Dilley will serve 3 years to life of mandatory supervised release. Dilley was credited with 141 days of time served on his sentence. As part of a plea agreement, a disorderly conduct charge and aggrivated domestic battery charge were dropped. Dilley is also not allowed to have contact with Lacricia Dilley. According to court documents, Dalton Dilley was also assessed court costs of $2064.

On October 10th, 46-year-old Ivan K. Dill of Grayville was sentenced to 5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by 4 years of mandatory supervised release on a charge of domestic battery. According to court doccuments, judge Valentine recommended Dill to take part in a substance abuse program. Dill was credited with 127 days of time served.  Dill originaly received probation in the case, but was found to have violated his probation following an arrest in June on a idisorderly conduct charge.
