A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Harre Funeral Home,
McLeansboro, IL on Friday, December 1, 2023 with Pastor Rod Marlow officiating.
David was born November 23, 1935 in McLeansboro, IL to
Charles Raymond Winfree, D.D.S. and Laura Alice (Dillon) Winfree and
was married to Margaret Solesbury, July 27, 1974 in McLeansboro, IL.
He was employed as a Medical Laboratory Technician by Hamilton Memorial
Hospital in McLeansboro, IL.
David served in the U. S. Air Force as Airman Second Class.He attended
Enfield Christian Church, Enfield, IL.
He loved woodworking and loved collecting EAGLE memorabilia.
Survivors include his Wife Margaret Winfree of Carmi, IL; Son: Robert
Winfree of Sarasota, FL; Stepsons: Roger Wheeler & wife Patty of Enfield
IL and Alan Wheeler & wife Lisa of McLeansboro, IL; 2 StepGranddaughters:
Amy Smith of Canada and Brooke Hanna & husband Scott of LasVegas, NV;
Step-Grandsons: Shane Wheeler & wife Chasity of Robinson; Nicholas
Russel Wheeler of Ft. Bragg, NC; 3-Step Great Grandchildren;
Sisters: Sue Alice Farrow & husband Bill of SanAntonio, TX and
Tamara Jane Davis & husband Henry of Hopkinsville, KY; Numerous
Nephews, Nieces and Cousins.
Preceding him in Death were his Parents Charles and Laura Winfree.
