Officials in White County are set to host a Town Hall Meeting Tomorrow Evening about the 2nd amendment and the new gun laws that take effect on Monday, January 1st. That meeting will take place from 6 until 8 PM at White Horse Christian School, located at 215 Industrial Drive in Carmi.
At the meeting, information will be discussed about the current legislation involving the January 1st deadline to register banned firearms and alternatives for Illinois gun owners. Those in attendance will also hear about the status of current lawsuits challenging the Illinois gun ban. Another item for discussion includes a proposed national gun ban.
Speakers at the meeting include Darren Bailey, Candidate for U.S. Congress, Mike and Valinda Rowe, Second Amendment Advocates, Denton Aud, White Co. State’s Attorney, Chris Neal, Hamilton Co. Asst. State’s Attorney, and Jordan Weiss, White Co. Sheriff.
