Several Sentences Handed Down in Wayne County Tuesday

Several sentences were handed down in Wayne County Court on Tuesday.

47-year-old Sara Bailey of Mount Vernon pled guilty to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. As a part of the plea, a possession of meth charge was dropped. Bailey will serve a year of probation and pay court costs of $3015.

40-year-old Jessica Melton of Fairfield pled guilty to driving on a cancelled, suspended, or revoked vehicle registration. Melton will serve 12 months of probation on the plea and pay court costs of $1635.

Christopher Smith of Fairfield pled guilty in Wayne County Court to violating an order of protection. Smith will serve a year of probation and pay court costs of up to $1864.

53-year-old Dana Perry of Fairfield was resentenced in Wayne County Court on Tuesday following a guilty plea of possession of meth and burglary. In Court, Judge Aud gave a stern lecture to Perry and mentioned that the plea agreement would not have been accepted if notes were not previously left by Judge Molt mentioning that Perry was “doing well”. As part of the agreement, Perry will serve 2 years of probation and pay court costs of $1362. Perry as a condition of her probation will also have no contact with the victim of the burglary.

36-year-old Tiffany Whitley of Crossville came to terms with a plea agreement in Wayne County Court. Whitley will serve a 6 month sentence and then serve 12 months of probation on a charge of possession of meth. Whitley is scheduled to report to jail at 6PM on Sunday, March 3rd.  Whitley will still be responsible for court costs of $650.
