MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL:
The St. Louis Cardinals scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth en route to a 6-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles at Busch Stadium. Masyn Winn doubled in a run during the inning, while Michael Siani added a three-run home run. Siani finished the game with four RBI, while Sonny Gray improved to 6-and-2 after giving up one earned run an two unearned runs in five-and-two-thirds innings. Ryan Helsley picked up his 14th save as the Cardinals remain in fourth place in the NL Central at 21-and-26. Lance Lynn starts for St. Louis against the O’s tonight.

 

The St. Louis Cardinals are getting some help in their bullpen. The team selected the contract of right-hander Ryan Loutos from Triple-A Memphis yesterday. The 25-year-old has been unhittable at Triple-A, going 1-and-0 with four saves, a 1.72 ERA, and 18 strike outs in 15-and-two-thirds innings. Fellow righty Chris Roycroft was optioned to Triple-A, and outfielder Alfonso Rivas was designated for assignment in corresponding moves.

Chicago Cubs were off last night, they will host the Atlanta Braves at Wrigley Field tonight at 6:40pm.
