COLLEGE BASEBALL:
Illinois baseball is dancing for the first time since 2019. Illinois was selected for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament on Monday, drawing the No. 3 seed in the Lexington Regional. The Illini (34-19) will play No. 2 seed Indiana State (42-13) on Friday in the first game of a double-elimination regional. No. 1 seed Kentucky (40-14) and No. 4 seed Western Michigan (32-21) also are in the regional. The Wildcats are the No. 2 overall seed in the tournament.
