The Fairfield Memorial Hospital Board of Directors and Deaconess proudly announce the selection of Mike Cooper as the incoming Chief Executive Officer of Fairfield Memorial Hospital, starting on July 15.
Bringing with him more than three decades of experience in the healthcare industry, with over 20 years spent in executive roles, Cooper has most recently served as the CEO of Rush County Memorial Hospital in LaCrosse, Kansas since 2019. His previous leadership positions include CEO roles at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford, Indiana, and St. Benedict’s Family Medical Center in Jerome, Idaho.
Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, Cooper stated, “I am both humbled and thrilled to be joining the exceptional team at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to improving patient care, nurturing staff growth, and engaging with the community. I eagerly anticipate returning to this region and collaborating with the talented professionals at Fairfield Memorial to uphold our commitment to delivering outstanding healthcare services to our community.”
Cooper holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Indiana University Southeast and a Master of Arts in Health Services Management from Webster University. He is actively involved in various community organizations, having served on the boards of the Kansas Hospital Association, the Indiana Rural Health Association, and as a former president of both the Bedford Area and Jerome Area Chambers of Commerce.
