Two area residents were arrested over the 4th of July holiday on warrants.
Media reports indicated a Carmi woman, 27-year-old Senekqua Holland, was behind bars after being arrested by Carmi police on a White County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of aggravated battery of a peace officer, in connection with an incident that occurred in December of 2022. This past May, police arrested Holland on another battery charge and was ordered to undergo anger management, and was given two years conditional discharge. Holland is in jail for the 2022 warrant.
Douglas Fly of Enfield was arrested and jailed by White County’s Sheriff’s Department officials on a July 4th body attachment warrant, in connection with a small claims case with the Orthopedic Center of Southern Illinois last year. The warrant was issued from Jefferson County on June 26th.
