2024 FAIRFIELD MULES FREE YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP:

Fairfield Mules Football Coach, Justin Townsend and other local football coaches are holding a FREE Youth Football camp in Fairfield on Wednesday, July 17th. There are two different sessions for youth from Kindergarten to 8th grade. See the details below:
Students entering K-2nd (5:00-6:30)
Students entering 3rd-8th (6:30-8:00)
All participants must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver before their son or daughter can participate in camp. The waiver is on our Facebook page and forms will also be available at the camp on Wednesday, July 17th.

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL:
The St. Louis Cardinals are heading into the All-Star break on a sour note following an 8-3 loss against the Chicago Cubs after splitting the series over the weekend at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals surrendered six home runs in the losing effort. Christopher Morel hit a home run and a two-run blast while Pete Crow-Armstrong belted two homers. Ian Happ chipped in with a solo shot of his own. Miles Mikolas was charged with his eighth loss after allowing six runs on eight hits in five-and-a-third innings, while Alec Burleson went deep in the losing effort.Chicago enters the All-Star break winners of five of their last seven games, but the Cubs are in last place in the NL Central at 47-and-51. The Northsiders host the Diamondbacks on Friday. The Cardinals are in second place in the NL Central at 50-and-46. St. Louis will play Atlanta on Friday night.

The Chicago White Sox gave up four runs in the top of the seventh during a 9-4 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Southsiders have dropped their last four games and remain in last place in the AL Central at 27-and-71. Chicago visits Kansas City on Friday.
