36-year-old Aydreian Hooper of Fairfield made her initial court appearance Thursday morning in Wayne County Circuit Court. Hooper has been charged with Involuntary Manslaughter, Endangering the Life of a Child-Death, Reckless Conduct and Endangering the Life of a Child. Hooper’s 1-year-old son died and another 2-year-old son suffered severe injuries from being left outside in a vehicle for multiple hours this past Sunday. Hooper appeared with Public Defender, Heidi Hoffee before Judge Michael Valentine. Based on statements Hooper gave to Illinois State Police Zone 8 Investigations, Judge Valentine filed an Order of Detention that Hooper remain in custody at the Wayne County Jail. A preliminary hearing has been set for Thursday, August 8th at 11am with a final pre-trial hearing set for Thursday, September 19th at 9am. A jury trial is set for Monday, October 7th at 9am in Wayne County Circuit Court.
