MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL:

The St. Louis Cardinals return from the All-Star Break with a game against the Atlanta Braves in Atlanta.. The Cardinals are in second place in the NL Central at 50-and-46 and they currently hold the second spot in the NL Wild Card race. Sonny Gray starts for St. Louis tonight. First pitch is at 6:20PM.

The Chicago Cubs return from the All-Star Break with a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Wrigley Field this afternoon. The Cubs are in fifth place in the NL Central at 47-and-51. Justin Steele takes the mound for the Northsiders today. First pitch is at 1:20PM.

The Chicago White Sox are back in action with a game against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium tonight. Game time is at 7:10.

>MLB Releases 2025 Schedule:

Major League Baseball’s schedule for next season is out. The St. Louis Cardinals will open up at home on Thursday, March 27th with a series against Minnesota with games on Saturday, March 29th and Sunday, March 30th and then will host the LA Angels March 31st, April 1st and April 2nd before heading to Boston. Shohei [[ show-hey ]] Ohtani and the Los Angles Dodgers will take on the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo March 18th and 19th to start the season. March 27th will be MLB’s traditional Opening Day, marking the earliest Opening Day in league history. Other key dates include May 16th through the 18th for “Rivalry Weekend” that will see eleven series between prime interleague rivals. The All-Star Game will be held July 15th in Atlanta and the season will wrap up on September 28th.

WNBA All-Star Game Preview:

The best women’s basketball players in the world will take the floor in Phoenix on Saturday for the WNBA All-Star Game. This year’s game has a different format than most years. It will be a matchup between Team WNBA and Team USA women’s basketball as the squad prepares for the upcoming Paris Olympics. Headlining Team WNBA are rookie phenoms Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese as well as Seattle Storm star Nneka Ogwumike [[ NEH-kuh OH-gwoo-muh-kay ]]. Team USA is headlined by 42-year-old Phoenix Mercury legend Diana Taurasi, last season’s WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart [[ bree-ANN-nuh ]] and Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson.
