2024 EDWARDS COUNTY FAIR SCHEDULE JULY 24TH THRU AUGUST 3RD

The 2024 Edwards County Fair is set to begin Wednesday, July 24th running thru Saturday, August 3rd with a variety of events lined up.

 

4-H Events leading up to the fair:

Tuesday, July 23rd:        Dog Show at 6PM.

Thursday, July 25th:      Poultry Show at 5:30PM.

Friday, July 26th:            Equine Show at 6PM.

 

Saturday, July 27th:       The 4th annual Fair Fest in Albion on July 27th will include various activities. The day begins on the square in Albion with the car, truck, and tractor show at 8 AM, followed by food vendors, crafters, and direct sales starting at 9 AM. Edwards County Fair Parade at 10AM,  A touch-a-tractor event for kids will run from 9 AM to 12 noon, Balloons by Kim, bounce houses, and family game booths will be open from 11 AM to 1 PM, with the Fair Queen Pageant starting at 3 PM.

 

Sunday, July 28th:          Rabbit Show at 2PM.

Flag  Raising  Ceremony at 7PM.

 

Monday, July 29th:         Livestock activities with weigh-in at 6AM and registration until 7:30AM.  Mini Livestock Session at 9am, Livestock Judging at 2PM, Sheep Show at 2PM.

Tuesday, July 30th:        Swine Show at 8am followed by Goat Show at 1PM.

Wednesday, July 31st:   Bucket Calf Show at 8AM, Beef Show at 8:30AM,  Tractor Rodeo at 1PM,  Master Showmanship at 6PM.

Thursday, August 1st:   Youth Livestock Auction at 9AM.

 

In the Floral Hall, participants can pick up their floral hall tags starting on July 27th from 1 to 3 PM. Entries are open from July 29th, 8 AM to 6 PM, with flower and baked goods entries closing at 12 noon. Judging will promptly follow the entry period closure. Floral Hall entries must be submitted by 6 PM on the 29th. Judging continues on the 30th, with the Floral Hall open to the public at 6 PM. The Floral Hall will also be accessible on July 31st, August 1st, and 2nd from 5 to 9 PM each day. Participants are required to collect their Floral Hall items between 8 and 10 AM on August 3rd.

 

Country Financial Hall Events:

Sunday, July 28th:  Vesper Service with Tristan Brock-Jones at 7:30 PM.

Monday, July 29th:  Baked Goods Auction at 5 PM.

Wednesday, July 31st: Farm Bureau Milk Mustache Contest  at 5PM, followed by music from Midnight Express from 6PM to 8PM.

Thursday, August 1st:  Kids Tractor Pull, sponsored by House of Prayer.  Check-in at 5PM with event starting at 6PM.  Albion Chamber of Commerce Basket  Binga Fundraiser at 6PM.

Friday, August 2nd: Gospel Night featuring Riven.

 

 

Grandstand Events:

Saturday, July 27th:   Whippoorwill Rodeo at 7PM. (continuing through the 29th)

Tuesday, July 30th:  Donkey Polo (Circle A Donkeys)

Wednesday, July 31st:  Mud Races

Thursday, August 1st:  Truck & Tractor Pulls

Friday, August 2nd:  Motocross

Saturday, August 3rd: Demolition Derby at 7PM.
