18-year-old Madison Jade Spicer, formerly of Fairfield passed away Monday July 15th in Cypress,CA. Maddie was born on May 5,2006 in Mt.Vernon Il and lived In Fairfield until 2021 when she moved to California. Maddie loved animals,especially cats; Hello Kitty, thrift shopping, photography and going to concerts/spending time with friends. Maddie graduated from Cypress High School in May where she was named “Staffer of the Year” for her work on the yearbook and was enrolled at Cypress College studying radiographic sonography. Maddie was kind, smart, loving, creative and made the world around her a better place.
Maddie is survived by her parents, Lindsey Spicer and Elijah Phoenix of Cypress, CA and Griffin Spicer of Kansas City, Kansas; Siblings; Aubrey and Jaxon Spicer of CA; grandparents Kevin Ukena and the late Terri Ukena of Fairfield, Suzie Hanks of Kansas City and Ron Spicer of Bloomington, IN. She is preceded in death by her best fur friend, Azzy. Services for Madison Jade Spicer will be held Friday, July 26 at 2pm with visitation from 12-2pm at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home or at the Clay City Banking company in the “Bring Maddie home” fund. Nale’s Funeral Home of Fairfield is assisting the family.
