Charles Joseph “Charlie” Pfister, 83, of Naples, Florida (formerly of Carmi)

  Charles Joseph “Charlie” Pfister, 83, of Naples, Florida, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg, Illinois. He was born on February 05,1941, in Carmi, Illinois, the son of Glen Benjamin and Emma Louise (Smith) Pfister. Charlie married Margaret Agnes “Margie” Goebel on August 17, 1963, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ridgway, IL, and she survives. Charlie was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Naples, Florida and previously a member at St. Polycarp Catholic Church in Carmi. Charlie served as president on the White County Farm Bureau and served as director on the Wabash Valley Service Company board as well. Charlie was very active in his church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

   Charlie was a respected farmer in the area, and an active Carmi Bulldog sports watcher. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and Indiana Hoosiers and was always hopeful for a winning season. He didn’t miss a chance to watch good Westerns and visit with a friend as well.

In addition to his wife, Margie Pfister, Charlie is survived by his children, Chuck (Kelly) Pfister, Bryan (Kelsie) Pfister and Kevin (Mary Kay) Pfister; grandchildren, Taylor Pfister, Grant Pfister, Kathlyn Pfister and Kaylee Pfister; siblings, Bernard (Darlene) Pfister, Mike Pfister and Mary-Ann Glenn. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Charles Joseph Pfister, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 29,2024 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Friends and family may visit from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
