WAYNE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT HANDLES ONE VEHICLE ACCIDENT NORTHWEST OF WAYNE CITY WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Wayne City Fire and Ambulance personnel and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene of a one vehicle accident just after 10:30 Wednesday night on County Rd 360E at County Rd 900N northwest of Wayne City.  Deputies say a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 18-year-old Elias Harlan of Keenes  was traveling southbound on County Rd 360E when the vehicle failed to stop and skidded through the intersection with County Rd 900N and struck the ditch embankment on the south side of the intersection.  Harlan and passengers in the vehicle; 18-year-old Isaiah Hickox, 17-year-old Leeland Malone and 17-year-old Mackenzie Whitfield all from Wayne City were not injured and refused treatment at the scene.
