NUMEROUS PLEAS HANDED DOWN IN WAYNE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT THURSDAY

Numerous pleas were handed down in Wayne County Circuit Court Thursday.

 

30-year-old Lauren Toombs of Fairfield pled guilty to a charge of Retail Theft.  Toombs was placed on one year of court supervision and ordered to pay court costs.

 

Wayne City resident, 28-year-old Nicole Boyd was sentenced to 180 days in the Wayne County Jail for violating her probation on an original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine in addition to being placed on two years of probation.

 

45-year-old Joseph Cannon of Fairfield was sentenced to 4 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and ordered to pay court costs on charges of Retail Theft on August 20th, 2021 and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine with this offense occurring on September 24th, 2020.  The court also found out Cannon has violated a previous probation order.  The sentence on both charges will run concurrently.
