Olney Central College Theater is excited to announce its upcoming production of Charles Dickens’ timeless classic, A Christmas Carol. Performances are set to take place in November at the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center.

They currently seeking performers for various roles, with auditions scheduled for Monday, September 30, and Tuesday, October 1, at 6:30 PM on both evenings at the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center.

This adaptation remains true to Dickens’ original tale, featuring the memorable character Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by the spirits of Jacob Marley, Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and the Spirit of Christmas Yet to Come. Confronted with the consequences of his miserly and misanthropic behavior, Scrooge ultimately finds redemption, reconciles with his nephew and neighbors, and takes on a fatherly role for Tiny Tim, his assistant’s son.

Auditioning individuals need to attend only one of the scheduled dates. Auditions are open to anyone in high school and older, and boys aged 7-12 are encouraged to audition for the part of Tiny Tim. Callbacks will be conducted as necessary. Participants will audition in groups of three but will perform individually. Auditions will include a prepared reading from the script.

Performances will be held from November 22-24. Tickets are priced at $13 for reserved seating and will be available for purchase starting at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 12.
