Brianna Eckelberry, 33, from West Salem, has been sentenced to one year in prison after pleading guilty to a Class-4 felony for defrauding a drug screening test. During the proceedings in Edwards County Circuit Court, Judge Michael Valentine also mandated that she serve an additional six months of parole following her release. Eckelberry is required to pay court costs, and she received credit for the two days she spent in jail while awaiting the resolution of her case. In 2023, she had been placed on two years of probation for a similar offense, but was re-sentenced after violating the terms of her probation.

 

 

Donald L. Walker, 36, from Albion, was formally charged last Thursday with a Class-3 felony for possessing a firearm while having a revoked FOID card. He has been released under pretrial conditions and is scheduled to make his first appearance in Edwards County Circuit Court on Tuesday, October 8th.

 

28-year-old Tristan Koertge of West Salem, has received prison sentences following convictions for meth possession and fleeing from police. After violating the terms of her probation in both cases, Judge Michael Valentine sentenced her to three years in prison for possession of methamphetamine, with a concurrent sentence of two years and six months for aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer. In addition to her prison time, Judge Valentine ordered Koertge to court costs related to both convictions. She will also serve six months of parole upon her release and received credit for 68 days spent in jail before her sentencing.

 

39-year-old William Henderson from McKenzie, Tennessee, has been sentenced to a total of five years and six months in prison for convictions of theft and escape. The escape charge was brought against him after he failed to appear in Edwards County Circuit Court for his sentencing in a 2023 theft case. Along with his prison sentence, Henderson has been ordered to pay court costs. Upon his release, he will also serve one year of parole. Judge Michael Valentine granted Henderson credit for 66 days spent in jail while awaiting the resolution of his cases.
