Mark Andrew Gardner, 66, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at his home in West Salem, Illinois.
He was born January 13, 1958 in Shelbyville, Illinois to Galen and Vina Lucille Andrews Gardner. He grew up in the Olney, Illinois area. He married Lori Gill in 1982 and they enjoyed over 42 years of marriage.
Mark worked for Wabash Valley Service Company for several years. He loved to fish, and to shoot skeet. He also loved military shows and gun shows, and he loved their cats and dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Mike Gardner.
Mark is survived by his wife, Lori Gardner; his sister, Gay Bussard; his in-laws, Russel and Arlie Gill; a brother-in-law Eric (Paige) Gill; and nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services for Mark Gardner will be held at a later date at the Moravian Cemetery in West Salem, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in the name of Mark Gardner may be made to the Humane Society of Olney Area or a local animal shelter or humane society of the donor’s choice.
