CLAY CITY RESIDENT HITS COW NORTH OF FAIRFIELD SUNDAY NIGHT

Wayne County Sheriff’s Department handled a crash Sunday night around 9pm at 1549 County Hwy 1 just South of the Rt. 161 extension.   Deputies says a 2000 Pontiac GrandAm driven by 51-year-old Bryan Draper from Clay City was traveling North when he struck a cow in the roadway.  The cow was owned by Brian Locke of Geff.   Draper’s vehicle had extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene.   No injuries were reported.
