THE OLD VAUGHN’S BI-RITE BUILDING EAST OF FAIRFIELD IS GETTING A FACE LIFT

The old Vaughn’s Bi-Rite Grocery Store building on the east edge of Fairfield is getting a face lift.  According to sources, local contractors are sprucing up the frontage and entrance to the building this week doing some cosmetic work and required maintenance.  The building at one time was owned by Hurley and Ann Muder and was a grocery store operated by the Muders’ and in 1961, Charles and Gloria Vaughn of Fairfield took over the grocery store and ran the business til the store closed for good in October, 1983.
