Clemence Marie Wells, 97, passed away at 10:40AM on Monday October 21, 2024, at Cisne Rehabilitation & Health Care. She was teacher, worked at the sewing factory, post office, and was also a homemaker. Marie was born in Wayne County on December 7, 1926, to Fred and Iva (Kuster) Wilson.
Marie is survived by her daughters- Mary Ann Hall of Wayne City and Kathy (Dave) Rutherford of Fairfield; grandchildren- Keith Hall of Wayne City, Chris Rutherford of Nason IL, and Chad Rutherford of Fairfield; great grandchildren- Trenten Rutherford, Landen Rutherford, Lily Rutherford, Liam Rutherford, and Lincoln Rutherford; step great grandchildren- Shelby Allen and Jaiden Ellis; step great great grandson- Hudson Tate Pottorff; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Glen Wells, seven brothers and four sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30PM on Friday October 25, 2024, at Maple Hill Cemtery. There will be no visitation, family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of all the arrangements.
