Vora Mae Bertram, 77, of Norris City

Vora Mae Bertram, 77, of Norris City, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Eldorado Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 10, 1947, in Paris, Illinois, the daughter of Franklin Dewayne and Eleanor Rose (Blockenger) Tharp. She worked as an in-home healthcare aide for many years. Vora enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, and  spending time with her family and friends. She loved her dog, Penny.

Vora is survived by her daughters, Vickie Hall of Eldorado, IL. and Rosa Burkes of Harrisburg, IL; grandchildren, Breonna (Dylan Wolf) Irvin, Brittani (Rian) Hatton, Sara (Jordan Aud) Irvin, Aage Burkes, Grace Burkes, JaCinda (Kyle) Davis and Gavin Cross; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Brennan, Lincoln and Ryver; siblings, Vera (Leonard) Rodgers, Mary Bryant, David Tharp and Carolyn Spivey; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Larry Tharp.

Funeral services for Vora Mae Bertram will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Family and friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
