ILLINOIS HAS RELIEVED $72 MILLION IN MEDICAL DEBT FOR OVER 52,000

Illinois is touting a growing amount of medical debt relief in the state.  Illinois’ Medical Debt Relief Pilot Program has relieved more than 72-million-dollars worth of medical debt for over 52-thousand Illinois residents.  This debt abolishment is part of the state’s commitment to erase around one-billion-dollars in medical debt across Illinois.  Beginning next week, individuals benefiting from medical debt relief will receive letters notifying them that their debts have been eliminated.
