The Fall Sports Awards program will be held tonight (Monday) and Wednesday for Fairfield High School. The programs honors athletes that participated in the following fall sports.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL SATURDAY:
The Illinois Fighting Illini shook off a two-game losing streak by beating Michigan State 38-16 at Memorial Stadium on Saturday. The Illini are in fifth place in the Big Ten with a 4-and-3 conference record and a 7-and-3 mark overall. Illinois is at Rutgers this Saturday.

BASEBALL NEWS: St. Louis Cardinals Ryan Helsley is getting some national recognition. The Cardinals closer was recently named the National League Reliever of the Year. Helsley received the award Thursday. Helsley was also named to the All-MLB First Team.
