The Fairfield Community High School District Board of Education met for their regular monthly meeting Monday night. Student Focus for the evening was presented by the FY2025 FFA Officers and Co-FFA sponsor, Curt Robbins. The board took the following action on a number of items. A motion to accept the consent agenda and to approve the FY24 audit. The board approved to open a new 90-day Certificate of Deposit for $3,000,000 at 4.35% at Fairfield National Bank, approved the FY25 Maintenance Grant and approved the Property/Casualty/Liability Insurance Renewal with Wright Insurance. A new contract with Pepsi was approved for five years and the Josten’s yearbook contract for 3 years.
In personnel matters; the board voted to accept the retirement of Dennis Gifford as Transportation Director effective May 30, 2025, accepted the resignation of Chet Snyder as a paraprofessional effective November 29th and accepted the resignation of Nate Neal as a Special Education teacher effective December 20th. The board voted to rehire Macie Clark as a long-term substitute and approved the appointment of Andrew Gifford as a volunteer basketball coach.
