WAYNE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT HANDLE TWO-VEHICLE CRASH LAST FRIDAY MORNING IN CISNE

Wayne County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident last Friday morning in Cisne.  Deputies say a 2003 Ford Focus driven by 18-year-old Conner Smith of Cisne was traveling South on Watkins St. when the Smith vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection on Central St. and Watkins St. and struck a 2021 Dodge Ram truck driven by 30-year-old Shawna Kuehne from Mt. Carmel.  The Kuehne vehicle traveled off the road striking 2 mailboxes before coming to rest in the road.  The Smith vehicle ended up coming to a stop in a yard on Central St.  There were no injuries as the result of the crash.  Conner Smith  received a citation for Disobeying A Stop Sign.
