US Representative Mike Bost announced on Monday that he has been confirmed by the House Republican Conference to serve another two-year term as chairman of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.
“It is a deep honor to have the trust of my colleagues to continue leading the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs,” Bost stated. He highlighted the significant progress made by House Republicans for veterans and their families over the past two years and expressed his eagerness to collaborate with the incoming Trump administration to further these efforts. “We’re going to restore our veterans’ trust in the VA while continuing our work to bring the agency into the 21st Century,” he added.
Bost, a Marine veteran himself and the father and grandfather of Marines, emphasized the personal nature of his mission, vowing not to let veterans down. His new term as chairman will commence when he is sworn in for the 119th Congress on January 3rd, marking his second consecutive term in the role after previously serving as the committee’s ranking member.
