James (Jim) Tucker, 82, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Silver Fox Nursing Home, McLeansboro, IL. Jim was born September 8, 1942 in Dale, IL. He was a son of James Thomas Tucker and Wanna Grace (Merrill) Tucker. James married Julia Batley on May 30, 1964 in Kankakee, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Julia, Dale, IL., a son James T. (Jimmy) Tucker and wife Tara, McLeansboro, IL. one daughter, Charmon Morris, Herrin, Il. Surviving grandchildren are Lindsay Marshall and husband James, Herrin, IL., Josh Morris and wife Jessica, AFB Germany, Sydney Tucker, Broughton, IL. and Cord Tucker, Broughton, IL. His sister, Sue Brown, McLeansboro, IL. also survives.
James was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Cole Tucker.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and/or the McLeansboro Animal Shelter.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Randal Ragan officiating at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, IL. Burial of ashes will follow at Digby Hill Cemetery, Dale, IL.
