Nathan Ellison, an escapee from Richland County, has been located and is now in custody. Tuesday of last week, authorities issued a public appeal for assistance after Ellison removed his ankle monitor and fled while reporting to the Richland County Sheriff’s Office.
Over the course of five days, law enforcement received multiple tips regarding Ellison’s whereabouts. On Monday, officers from the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and Olney Police Department responded to a residence in Olney. After obtaining consent to search the home, they found Ellison and took him into custody without incident.
Additionally, Ellison’s girlfriend, Olivia Pipher, was arrested and charged with Concealing or Aiding a Fugitive, a class 4 felony. Both individuals were transported to the Richland County Detention Center. Ellison is currently being held pending transfer to the Illinois Department of Corrections and will face additional charges for escape. Pipher was booked and released under the SAFE-T Act, pending future court hearings.
