No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident last Friday on US 45 at I-64. Wayne County Sheriff’s Department reports a 2018 Ford F150 driven by 61-year-old Tammi Ingram of Fairfield was southbound on US 45and attempted to stop to turn west onto the I-64 westbound on ramp when the Ingram vehicle began sliding on the snow and ice on the roadway. Ingram told deputies she attempted to turn back east to get out of the lane and traffic. A 2020 GMC Sierra driven by 22-year-old Landen Wood of Fairfield attempted to avoid the Ingram vehicle but could not, ending up striking the Ingram vehicle on the drivers side and rear. Deputies cited Ingram for Driving Too Fast For Conditions.
