Fairfield Mules Basketball tonight as the Mules host Flora at The Mule Barn on Jed Foster Court. Due to the impending winter storm, the following schedule adjustments have been made for tonight’s game with Flora:
Fresh/Soph game is canceled
JV game will start at 5:00 pm
Varsity game will start at 6:15 pm
All Senior night activities have been moved to Monday (February 24th) prior to the regional game.

The Illinois Fighting Illini look to get back in the win column when they visit number-11 Wisconsin at Kohl Center tonight. The Illini just lost to number-13 Michigan State 79-65 at home on Saturday. Illinois is in seventh place in the Big Ten with a 9-and-7 conference record and a 17-and-9 record overall. Tonight’s game tips off at 7:30PM and can be heard on WFIW-AM 1390 and FM 103.3 on the Illinois Sports Network powered by Learfield. Pregame activities start at 6:30PM

BASEBALL NEWS
The St. Louis Cardinals held their first full-team workout yesterday. The Cardinals had everyone in attendance for Spring Training at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium yesterday. The Cardinals are looking to get back into the postseason after missing each of the last two years. St. Louis will play its first Spring Training game on Saturday against the Marlins.

The Chicago Cubs are adding some depth to their starting rotation. The Northsiders signed right-hander Chris Flexen to a minor league deal yesterday. The contract includes an invitation to Spring Training. Flexen spent last season with the White Sox. He was 3-and-15 with a 4.95 ERA in 33 appearances in 2024.

The Chicago White Sox have a new reliever. The team claimed right-hander Owen White off waivers from the New York Yankees yesterday. White will have a chance to make Chicago’s Opening Day roster. The 25-year-old pitched in three games with Texas last season. He had a 24.00 ERA.
