GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL CLASS2A STATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT FROM SATURDAY
Mt. Carmel Lady Aces beat Chicago Phillips 50-38 to win 3rd place in the Girls Class 2A State Tournament in Bloomington Saturday.
Nashville defeats Peoria Notre Dame 55-29 to win the Girls 2A State Championship Game. The Hornettes accumulated a school record 34 wins this season. They nearly had a running clock on Saturday against the Irish in the Title Game, and they avenge the loss to PND from a year ago. This is the second Girls State Championship for Nashville, as they also won it all in 2013.
Wayne City High School Boys Basketball Fresh/Soph team went undefeated Saturday and won the Fresh/Soph Tournament in Odin.
Fairfield Lady Colts Volleyball Team won the 16 team Fairfield Invitational Tournament Saturday. Here are the results:
