FAIRFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT NEWS

Friday evening around 5:30, Fairfield Police responded to Talbert Court to investigate a report a subject trying to get into a residence. Officers arrived and observed Jonathan E. Swan, 43 of Fairfield sitting on the steps to the residence with an obvious injury to his hand. Officers observed storm door’s glass had been shattered. Swan was at the residence attempting to see family members. Swan was treated for injuries and transported to the Wayne County Jail pending a pre-trial release hearing.

 

Saturday afternoon around 1 o’clock, Fairfield Police investigated a domestic violence call in the 1300 block of W Delaware. As a result, 28-year-old Jordan J. Clevenger of Fairfield was arrested for aggravated assault, domestic battery and interference with reporting of domestic violence. Clevenger is accused of threatening a family member with a knife, making physical contact with 3 family members causing minor injuries and forcibly taking a phone to end a call to 9-1-1. Clevenger was lodged in the Wayne County Jail pending a pre-trial release hearing.

 

Around 7:15 Saturday night, Fairfield Police arrested Chad J. Joslin, 50 of Fairfield for Domestic Battery and Assault. Joslin is accused of entering a residence in the 900 block of George Street at approximately 2:00 AM, striking a victim and ransacking the residence. Joslin was located in the 400 block of NW 6th Street and taken into custody. Joslin was lodged in the Wayne County Jail pending a pre-trial release hearing.
