Betty Louise Kennedy, 94, of McLeansboro, IL and formerly of Dahlgren, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at her home. Betty was born to Henry C. & Kathryn R. Kennedy in Ford County, Illinois.
She was a special person that always had a smile. She loved to embroider quilt blocks that her mother used to make into quilts for family members and friends. Betty continued to embroider until her death.
She is survived by one sister Delores Berlinski of New Athens, IL; 6 nieces: Pat Warnberg of Mt. Vernon, IL; Linda May of Pflugerville, TX; Marilyn Kroll of Lafayette, IN; Carolyn Trotter of Belle Rive, IL; Debbie Cahoon of New Athens, IL and Christy Reuss of New Athens, IL; and a nephew Bill Chrisman of Lakewood, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry & Kathryn Kennedy, sister Audrey Jean Tucker, and 2 brothers-in-law: James A. Tucker and Tom Berlinski.
Funeral services for Betty Louise Kennedy will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren, IL with Rev. John Ashby officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Dahlgren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dahlgren I.O.O.F. Cemetery Association, and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home.
