The Fairfield Grade School District Board of Education met Monday night and several changes were made following a closed session. Delilah White has resigned from her position as the 8th grade girls’ basketball coach. Rhonda Clark submitted her letter of intent to retire at the end of the 2028-2029 school year. Kelsey Brendal has been rehired as a long-term substitute for the months of April and May.
The board also approved the re-employment of several non-tenured certified personnel for the fiscal year 2026, categorized by their probationary status:

Superintendent Kristina Gardner reported that the district has received 71% of its expected revenue and has expended 65% of its budget. The current balance for the food service account stands at $235,862.
Additionally, the district must make an extra insurance payment of $86,957 due to an increase in claims within the trust. This payment is necessary to ensure that employees can maintain their insurance coverage. An amendment has been made to the Center Street Student Handbook: flip flops and slides are now prohibited at school and in-person registration for the fiscal year 2026 will take place on July 9, from 9 AM to 6 PM.
