The office of Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias is now accepting applications for its third annual summer job program.

Approximately 150 positions are available for college students, trade school students, graduate students, or graduating high school students who plan to enroll in college or trade school this fall. Job opportunities include roles in one of the 25 departments within the Secretary of State’s office or at a DMV.

This program not only helps students develop job and interpersonal skills but also enhances the office’s customer service efforts during the busy summer months.

Positions are available in Secretary of State offices located in Chicago, surrounding suburbs, Springfield, and various downstate facilities. College and trade school students will earn $17 per hour, while specific contractual intern positions for graduate and law students will pay $25 per hour.

Interested applicants can apply at www.ilsos.gov/summerjobs and must submit a resume, application, and a cover letter detailing their interest in working at the Secretary of State’s office. Applicants are allowed to list up to three preferred work locations.

Summer employment can begin as early as May 12th.
