MLB NEWS
MLB pitcher and Southern Illinois resident Lance Lynn has announced he is officially retiring from Major League Baseball. Lynn made the announcement on a podcast posted to Facebook Tuesday morning.
Lynn, who lives in the Marion area spent the 2024 season back with the St. Louis Cardinals and made 23 starts in which he recorded a 3.84 ERA with a W-L record of 7-4. Lynn made his MLB debut in 2011 with the Cardinals as part of their World Championship team. He has a career record of 143–99.
