CLAY CITY TEEN INJURED IN SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT THURSDAY NIGHT

Wayne County Sheriff’s Department along with Fairfield Rural Fire and Wayne County EMS personnel responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on County Hwy 6 at 2050E southeast of Fairfield Thursday night.  Deputies say just after 9:30, a 2007 Ford Fusion driven by 17-year-old Brooklyn McElroy of Clay City was traveling northbound when for unknown reasons, the Ford Fusion ran off the roadway and into a ditch on the west side.  McElroy was transported by Wayne County Ambulance to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.
