MONDAY NIGHT ACCIDENT SENDS TWO CHAMPAIGN ILLINOIS RESIDENTS TO FAIRFIELD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Two Champaign, Illinois residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident Monday night just after 7:30 on County Hwy 1 at County Rd 1120N (Enterprise Rd) just North of Fairfield.  Wayne County Sheriff’s Department along with Fairfield Rural Fire Department and Wayne County Ambulance personnel responded to the accident scene where deputies say a 2011 Chrysler sedan driven by 45-year-old Rachel M. Harris of Champaign was traveling northbound on County Hwy 1 and for unknown reasons, Harris lost control of the vehicle and overturned on the west side of the road.  Both Harris and an 8-year-old female passenger in the vehicle were injured and transported by Wayne County Ambulance to Fairfield Mermorial Hospital.
