The Emergency Management Director for Hamilton County has stepped down. The Hamilton County Board accepted Ashton Middendorf’s resignation during their meeting on Tuesday, which took effect on Monday.

According to sources, Middendorf has accepted a law enforcement role in Williamson County and will soon begin training at the academy.

In the interim, Sheriff Tracy Lakin will assume Middendorf’s responsibilities, as the board did not have a successor prepared at the time of the meeting.
